'Grey's Anatomy' Season 12 Spoilers & Cast: Owen Is Moving In With Someone? Ellen Pompeo Reveals Meredith Does Not Need Derek

It seems like there will be more romances between the doctors of Grey Sloane Memorial Hospital as "Grey's Anatomy" returns for Season 12. According to Christian Today, creator Shonda Rhimes revealed that Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) may be moving in with someone, but it will not be with Amelia (Caterina Scorsone).

It can be remembered that Owen and Amelia shared some passionate scenes in the last season of the show. However, it was earlier reported that despite that event, both will still remain as friends. Scorsone revealed some scoop about Amelia's relationship with Owen. The actress said that there is something about Owen which makes him different from the guys she dated before.

Although it was not confirmed that the two will be taking their friendship to the next level, Rhimes revealed that the two are still in each other's radar. There are speculations circulating that now that Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) are no longer together, Owen might be moving in with either one of them.

Meanwhile, it seems like actress Ellen Pompeo, who plays Meredith Grey, is tired of hearing that the show won't be as good as before since Patrick Dempsey's character, Derek, died. According to Inquisitr, Pompeo made a statement about the fan discussions about Derek's death. She said, "It's like, Annalise Keating carries the show, Olivia Pope carries the show. But somehow, Meredith Grey needs someone. Why can't I just be the lead of the show the way Annalise and Olivia can? Why can't I be on that poster by myself?"

There were earlier reports that revealed that Meredith might have a new love interest in Season 12, but Pompeo did not confirm it. The site speculated that this may be the season where Meredith can stand on her own and focus on her career and family and prove that she is an independent woman after all.

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 will start on ABC on September 24.
