Kadokawa just announced that its otogame, 'Prince of Stride', which is available on the PlayStation Vita, will be having its TV anime series beginning January 2016. Entitled 'Prince of Stride: Alternative ', the anime series will be produced by studio Madhouse.
The original design works for the series was done by Shūji Sogabe, the original character design is credited to Kanako Nono, while the original graphic design was made by Tomoyuki Uchikoga. Atsuko Ishizuka, who directed ' The Pet Girl of Sakurasou ',' No Game, No Life ', 'Hanayamata ' , will likewise direct this series at Madhouse. The series composition will be handled by Taku Kishimoto who also have done works for 'Silver Spoon ', 'Haikyu!! ',' Bunny Drop'. Kokunen Ou, on the other hand, is adapting Nono's character designs for animation as he has done for Hanayamata.
The series 'setting is at Hōnan Academy, with the story revolving around a closed-down "Stride" club. Takeru Fujiwara and Nana Sakurai will attempt to revive the club, but they will need six members for the team. They will invite Riku Yagami to join the club, but will turn down the invitation and will say that he doesn't want to do the "Stride". He will be dragged by Takeru and Nana into the clubroom to be able to convince him.

The ' Prince of Stride' was released by Kadokawa Games on July 30 to PlayStation Vita. It also revolves around "Stride", an extreme sport involving six people on one team running relay races through towns. Competing to win eastern Japan's top Stride Competition, "End of Summer ", are Hōnan Academy and other schools. The game franchise has been able to inspire a visual novel series or those light novels with numerous illustrations written by different authors and a drama CD as well. Just last August 21, Kadokawa released the fourth visual novel in this series
