Showrunner John Logan teased fans as to what to expect in the new season of Showtime's "Penny Dreadful."
According to Christian Today, the showrunner revealed that there are a lot of changes coming in Season 3.
Logan said, "We can get out of the alleys and cobblestone bars of Victorian London and see a bit more of the world." He also said that in Season 3, there will be a force which will bring the characters together, and he described it as something "supernatural, partly romantic, partly shared destiny."
It was reported earlier that the show has already began its production, and there are a lot of newcomers to be added to the show. The new cast includes Christian Camargo, who will play the zoologist Dr. Alexander Sweet, Sam Barnett, who is the mysterious young secretary of Dr. Seward (Patti LuPone), Wes Studi as Kaetenay, and Jessica Barden as Justine, who is an assistant to Dorian Gray (Reeve Carney) and Lily (Billie Piper).
It was reported that major changes will be happening in Season 3, and fans should expect to be taken deeper into the different parts of the characters' world. Aside from that, Logan teased that there will be more romances in the upcoming new season.
Movie News Guide reported of a possible romance between Ethan (Josh Hartnett) and Vanessa (Eva Green). Logan revealed that the romance will possibly happen in Season 3, especially now that both are in the same place. According to the report, the two will find comfort in each other, and Logan said that the two has an amazing chemistry on screen. Aside from Vanessa and Ethan, another romance might be happening between Dorian Grey (Reeve Carney) and Hecate (Sarah Greene).
As of writing, the air date for the show was not confirmed yet since production is still ongoing. It was reported that Showtime will probably debut "Penny Dreadful" Season 3 in the early part of 2016.
