'Doctor Who' Season 9 Spoilers, Cast: Why The Christmas Special is A Must-see; The Doctor is Missing?

"Doctor Who" season 9 premiere episode might be weeks away and many are awaiting some spoilers for the upcoming BBC sci-fi series. Cartermatt reports that the premiere penned by Steven Moffat features Michelle Gomez and their article includes some synopsis for the upcoming series. Viewers can expect things to flow in the right direction coupled with uncanny twists, plots, and turns not to mention Peter Capaldi in shades. The season must be exciting.

"Doctor Who" Season 9 premiere episode of the Brit sci-fi program is entitled "The Magician's Apprentice" and Michelle Gomez would portray Missy/ The Master. Based on the synopsis, aside from Gomez appearing in the premiere, it also notes the absence of the Doctor who must be responsible in starting things off.

It was revealed by Capaldi on an article from Screen Rant that the Time Lord is "about to make a mistake that has cataclysmic repercussions," and he's "running from something, that even he does not yet understand."

According to the synopsis from Cartermatt:

"Where is the Doctor? When the skies of Earth are frozen by a mysterious alien force, Clara needs her friend. But where is the Doctor, and what is he hiding from? As past deeds come back to haunt him, old enemies will come face-to-face, and for the Doctor and Clara survival seems impossible."

Additional spoilers from Screen Rant reports, "new villains," "brilliant old ones" and "scary creatures" to propped up next season. They also reported that Alex Kingston is said to reprise her role on the "Christmas Special." Aside from this, Maisie Williams of "Games of Thrones" will be a guest star and portray a new character.

"Doctor Who" season 9 will premiere on Sept. 19, 2015 on BBC America.
