'Fifty Shades Darker' Spoilers & Cast News: Dakota Johnson Says She's Excited To Work With James Foley

"Fifty Shades Darker" star Dakota Johnson recently talked about the film's newly tapped director, James Foley.

During an interview with Empire Online, Johnson revealed that she already met Foley. The actress added that at first, she was scared of working with him, but now she's excited.

"It's quite exciting. There was a moment of being afraid, because I didn't know what it was going to be like. I had an experience with Sam Taylor-Johnson and then that all went away. Now I'm excited. I think James is a talented filmmaker. How often do you get to reconvene with the same people and have a different spin?" she said.

Meanwhile, the cast members of "Fifty Shades of Grey" were saddened to know that Taylor-Johnson will no longer return to direct the sequel. For instance, cast member Eloise Mumford previously revealed how much fun she had working with the female director.

In an interview with Female First, the actress who plays the role of Kate Kavanagh or Anastasia Steele's roommate, said that they all miss Taylor-Johnson. However, she added that all of the cast members are excited to work with their new director.

"I loved working with her so much. I honestly can't say enough things about working with her. It'll be really... I don't know if sad is the right word, but we will miss her very much on set, because she really formed the film version of this with such grace that I'm very curious to see who the next director is," Mumford said at that time.

In other news, Foley's confirmation as new director for "Fifty Shades Darker" could only mean the upcoming revelation of the celebrities who will also be tapped to join the sequel.

"Fifty Shades Darker" is slated to hit theaters in the United States on Feb. 10, 2017.
