Do you still find yourself tapping your smart phone to unlock it? Well, another brand has come with an innovative way to get your phone running without having to tap it. According to mashable.com ZTE's Axon Elite has come up with a technology that allows you to use your eyes, fingerprints or voice to unlock it. The Chinese company has recently announced this new phone during the IFA in Berlin last Thursday. And good news is, the Axon Elite is said to be available worldwide.
By fingerprint, does this still refer to the conventional swiping or tapping? No. According to mashable.com there is a fingerprint sensor at the back of the phone just below the secondary camera-where normally the pointer rests when most of us hold our phones. If the fingerprint scanner does not convince you, the phone will scan your eyes or analyze your voice to unlock itself. It may sound cool but if you are concerned about security, that has yet to be explained and so far the device has yet to be checked for bugs or if it works reliably.
On the other hand, the new Axon Elite by ZTE is actually a step down from the Axon Pro, displaywise. The Elite phone will only have a 5.5-inch screen at 1920 by 1080 full HD resolution while the latter has 2,560 by 1,440 QuadHD resolution. Needless to say, that you will find the front camera to be an 8MP selfie camera and the back camera can record 4K resolution video. Moreover, it will have leatherette back panels and fake leather stitching similar to Samsung.
Axon Elite will be available in Ion Gold and will sell in UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain through eBay for more or less $470 starting Sept. 24. It will be available to other regions by the end of September.
