"Orange is the New Black" Season 4 will introduce four male characters and a possible new love interest for Laverne Cox's Sophia.
According to Christian Post, reality TV star Caitlyn Jenner is still in negotiations to appear on the hit Netflix series. The publication added that if Jenner agrees to appear on the show, she will most likely play the role of Sophia's newest love interest. However, considering Jenner's busy schedule and other engagements, it seems impossible for the former Olympic gold medallist to appear in multiple episodes of the series.
Meanwhile, other male cast members that have been tapped forSeason 4 include "Pacific Rim" star Brad William Henke, "The Drop" star Mike Houston and "Get Smart" actor Kelly Karbacz.
In other news, "Orange is the New Black" Season 4 could see the possible return of Natasha Lyonne's character Nicky Nichols and Matt McGorry's character John Bennett. In Season 3, both characters disappeared from the show without any warning, and fans immediately assumed that they have been axed or killed off.
However, in recent interviews, Lyonne and McGorry weighed in on their character's fates in Season 4.
During an interview with TV Guide, the actress said, "I certainly don't know what's in Jenji's mind, but I would love to move inside of Jenji's mind because it is a vast and endless landscape of imagination. So, who knows? And I could certainly see a million different avenues to go down... I mean, I love this show so much. I love everybody that I've gotten to work with. And I'm a big fan of the whole situation."
McGorry, on the other hand, said that the writers will ultimately decide whether or not his character John will still be part of the upcoming season.
"Orange is the New Black" Season 4 will premiere on Netflix in June 2016.
