"The Big Bang Theory" Season 8 finale left fans with major cliffhangers. Fortunately, it looks like the fans don't hae to wait for the next season to get some closure. According to TV Cheat Sheet, the show's forerunner Steven Molaro has dropped major revelations about the status of Penny and Leonard's relationship.

As a quick recap, in the Season 8 finale, the nerdy lover are in a frenzy with Amy (Mayim Bialik) breaking up with Sheldon (Jim Parsons) without knowing he already had an engagement ring, while Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Leonard (John Galecki) set off to Vegas to supposedly tie the knot. Unfortunately, the show ended leaving fans with mouths open wondering if they would really do it.
Well, wait no more. According to TVLine, Molaro said "Yes!" The show's forerunner has confirmed that the two will officially become husband and wife after years of on and off dating. This is good news to the Leonard and Penny fans who have been dying to finally see them tie the knot.
Speaking of which, Molaro said, "We're nine years in and we want to keep things moving forward, as well as exciting and scary and fun. And I think this a great way to do it. Penny has had commitment issues for years and years now, especially when it comes to Leonard, and even she feels, 'How much longer are we going to go back and forth on this? Let's just jump in and hope for the best."
Major spoiler, isn't it? But there is still a lot to look forward to on the next season. Molaro has also revealed that there will be an addition to the characters who is said to rock Penny and Leonard's marital life. In addition, the fans will see one episode dedicated to "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." And lastly, what about Sheldon and Amy?
