After two years of being married, the musical couple finally decided to call it quits. As per the US Magazine website, Avril Lavigne publicly announced her split with Chad Kroeger last Wednesday, September 2, 2015. The Nickelback front man was spotted packing some of his belongings just hours after Avril Lavigne's Instagram post.
Among the items that Chad Kroeger, 40, packed were his two guitars, a few boxes, and a fan. The website also added that an unidentified young woman helped the Nickelback frontman move his belongings.
The "S8ter Boi" singer posted their photo on Instagram which was then captioned:
It is with a heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today. Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we've created many unforgettable moments. We are still and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other. To all our family, friends and fans, thank you sincerely for the support."
As of Fox News, an insider dished out that they saw Chad Kroeger with a mystery woman way before the two decided to split. The spy stated that he spotted the Rock Star singer at E11VEN last August 21:
"he came in at around 1:45 a.m. with a security guard and a mystery woman," the source then added. "He was a bit standoffish" and "didn't want the staff" bothering him and his lady friend at their table.
They "left around 4:45 a.m. in a very good mood."
The couple's split is already official. Way back November, 2014, the couple made the headlines as it was already rumoured that they're going through a rocky relationship, Chad denied the allegations. The two musicians got married in July of 2013. Lavigne had her fair share of struggled as she continually rises awareness on Lyme disease. An illness acquired through a tick bite.
