Windows 10 Worst Feature-- The Tracking Feature-- Now Installing On Windows 7 and 8

The Windows 10 worst feature is heading its way not only to Windows 7 but also to Windows 8. This feature enables Microsoft to track extensively its users and snoop on what they're doing.

Forbes says that Windows 7 and Windows 8 users have been warned last week, and this time is already the roll out. There is no stopping of the most criticized feature of Window 10 to come to the lower versions of OS. Microsoft will release an update for Windows 7 and Windows 8 that will have track how the OS has been used by the owner.

The said update comes with both good news and bad news.

First, the bad news. There are 3 updates that are in question. These are KB3075249, KB3080149 and KB3068708. The later update replaces KB3022345, and all add "customer experience and diagnostic telemetry" the lower versions of windows OS. Based on the report, this is the "shorthand for monitoring how you use Windows and sending that data back to Microsoft HQ for evaluation." The other downside of this aside from being monitored is that it will disregard the previous preferences made by the users.

As for the good news, Microsoft has launched KB3075249 and KB3080149 as optional updates. This means they won't install without Windows 7 and Windows 8 users giving them express permission to do so (a key difference to Windows 10).

However, KB3068708 is a recommended update, and it will be set as an automatic update, and will be installed in the computer by default. In addition, you can only have this update when you participate in "Microsoft's Customer Experience Improvement Program, an opt-in program which already has you agreeing to send user data to the company."

In a separate report about Windows 10, Cinema Blend says that although Microsoft has launched this surveillance feature, it does not relay a personal privacy data.

"these are not in anyway equivalent to the privacy-breaching features of Windows 10. Yes, they do relay data back to Microsoft like some of the tools in Windows 10, but it's not personal privacy data."

Should users do not like to have this update run in your computer system, you can actually disable automatic updates for windows.
