Hugh Jackman said that he's "seriously considering" trading up his claws for a suit and a martini.
According to hollywoodreporter.com, Hugh Jackman revealed during an interview with The Project, an Australian news program, that that he was offered a 'James Bond' role once when he was filming 'X- Men 2'. He also added that 'James Bond' team approached and offered him the role but he said, "At the time, I was just about to do X-Men 2, and I was like, 'Ah, I don't think it's the right time.' But it was not an easy one to give up."
Despite of turning down the spy role, Jackman said "I'd seriously consider it" if he would be given another chance to play the iconic MI6 spy.
In a report by ew.com, [Entertainment Weekly], Daniel Craig will be back on the big screen this coming November 6 as James Bond's new film, "Spectre" get released. Some of the fans are already thinking and placing their guesses as to who will be next to play the iconic role when Craig decides to walk away from it. According to different polls, U.K bookmakers are rooting for either Tom Hardy, Damian Lewis or Idris Elba will be perfect for the role.
During a interview with Esquire UK, Craig said that as of this moment, he won't be coming back for another Bond movie if another opportunity rises. He also added, "I have a life and I've got to get on with it a bit. But we'll see."
With the subject of new actor to play the next Bond movie, Anthony Horowitz, a Bond novelist, said that Idris Elba will not be a perfect fit for the role as he is "too street" to be drinking martini and drive an Aston Martin car. Other didn't see his comment as a good remark and he later issued a public apology for what he had said about Elba.
