NBA legend, Michel Jordan slashed a huge chunk of price from the original cost of his Highland Park mansion in Chicago. The home hit the real estate market in February 2012 sporting a lofty price tag of $29 million, which has now been slashed down to $21 million.
The NBA official website calls Jordan "the greatest basketball player of all time." His immense ability to leap and his super scores at slam dunks earned him nicknames like "Air Jordan" and "His Airness"!
Jordan's Home is one of the most expensive listings of the area, joining the league of Le Grand Reve mansion that sports a price tag of $32 million and a property at the Chicago Trump Tower, which is listed for the same price, reports Huffington Post.
The 56,000 square feet home sits on a seven acre land, beautifully landscaped. The grand mansion was built in 1995 and comprises of nine bedrooms and 15 full and four half baths. The fully-furnished place has five fireplaces. The exteriors of the home include basketball and tennis courts along with a pond and an indoor-outdoor swimming pool. The garage is a 15 car parking space, reports The Chicago Tribune.
Jordan's retirement hasn't put him off the celebrity screen. He owns a clothes line and a professional motorcycle and road racing team - Michel Jordan motor sports. He also owns the Charlotte Bobcats, the basketball team that he acquired in 2010. The team has not been doing very well though.
Apart from the games, Jordan also tried his charms in Hollywood, starring in a movie "Space Jam" in which he portrays himself! He had a local T.V show in 1989 called "The Michael Jordan Airwaves".
The price chopping comes as Jordan was unable to find any solid suitors for the mansion. Jordan now lives with his family in New Jupiter, Florida.
