Rumor has it that mobile maker LG is set to unveil its new massive phablet which will compete head to head with Samsung Galaxy Note 5. LG's phablet, a hybrid of a smartphone and tablet, will be called LG G4 Note or the LG G4 Pro, which is slated to be released on Oct. 10.
It was said that the new leaked photos of the rumored phablet has reached and passed through TENAA, a Chinese telecommunications agency whose U.S. counterpart is the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The photos showcase a device with model number LG-H968. Industry experts were quick to brand the leaked photos as possibly the LG G4 Note 4, a report from Tech Times said on Tuesday.
"For one thing, the pictures show a huge camera bump on the upper center at the back of the device, which could possibly match up to a rumor by Gotta Be Mobile that the G4 Note will have a 27MP primary camera, much bigger than the 16MP shooter found on the LG G4. The pictures also show a laser autofocus unit and two-tone dual-LED flash on both sides of the camera. On the front, it appears LG is also making substantial changes to the selfie camera, which might possibly have laser autofocus as well," the report stated.
Gotta Mobile reports that LG G4 Note 4 is expected to have a 5.8-inch and 2560x1440 Quad-HD Quantum display, with either 32 to 64 GB storage capacity and a micro SD slot which can provide up to 128 GB of additional storage capacity. It will also feature a fingerprint scanner technology.
Inside the device is an 8-core Snapdragon 820 processor with 4 GB of RAM. It was said that the soon-to-be-released phablet will be powered by either Google's Android Lollipop or Marshmallow, depending on the time it will be released.
However, Digital Trends believes that LG's rumored plan to launch a new device in October might be a serious "mistake," since most of the consumers by then will have their new smartphones. It was said that iPhone 6s Plus, Galaxy Note 5, Xperia Z5 Premium and other notable phablets have already saturated the market by October.
