Tech giant Apple is slated to announce tomorrow the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. It was said that one of the cornerstone features of Apple's new smartphones is the next-generation Force Touch Technology. The 3D Force Touch feature is actually the same pressure-sensitive technology that can be found in the latest MacBook trackpads and Apple Watch.
A recent report, however, claims that the Force Touch feature in Apple's upcoming iPhones is actually the next-generation version of the Force Touch. It was said that Apple iPhone 6s will have a new pressure-sensitive screen called the "3D Touch Display," a report from 9to5Mac said on Tuesday.
"While the MacBook trackpads and Apple Watch act on two levels of pressure, the differentiation between a tap and a press, the new iPhones will actually differentiate and unique act upon three levels of pressure: a tap, a press, and a deeper press, according to sources. The 3D Touch name is therefore derived from the new Force Touch sensor's ability to sense three dimensions of pressure, rather than just two. This opens up the door to new user-interface tricks, such as shortcut gestures across the iPhone 6s version of iOS 9," the report said.
International Business Times reports that "both iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be the latest devices to come out of the Cupertino company's metronomic release cycle. Much like the iPhone 4s and the iPhone 5s before it, the iPhone 6s is expected to look the same as its direct predecessor."
It was further explained that the S-suffixed devices have a varied performance and features, including a mobile chipset. It was noted that the prices of both iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be discounted as much as $100 in the U.S. With iPhone's 3D Touch Display feature, the devices will reportedly have a better and more efficient UI as it can be also used to develop a new variety of games and applications.
"This feature will be supported by iOS 9 and the latest Xcode, which will be launched together with the new iPhone. The new 3D Touch Display feature will complete the other features, such as 12MP camera and Flash display for selfie, animated wallpaper, rose gold color option, and the aluminum 7000 series," Techno Bezz reported.
