'Minecraft: Story Mode': Release Date Revealed?

"Minecraft" fans all over the world will be delighted with this news! "Minecraft: Story Mode" already has a release date. IGN reports that a listing for the game on Amazon.com might have accidentally leaked its release date, which indicates October 27 of this year. The game will also sell for $30.

In "Story Mode," the player will be Jesse, and they'll help him in his adventures "across the Over world, through the Nether, to the End, and beyond."

The listing's product description on Amazon says, "You will drive the story through the decisions you make: what you say to people (and how you say it), and what you choose to do in moments of thrilling action will make this YOUR story."

"Story Mode" will be part of five episodes that will take the user to journeys in five different worlds. The disc will grant access to the first episode, and the other four episodes will be available once they are released for download. Internet connection is required to play the game.

Mojang made a formal announcement on their website about "Story Mode." The game is made possible through their partnership with Telltale Games.

The company shared that they have no plans in making an official storyline for Steve or even explaining "Minecraft" with great detail. However, they promise a great game that all "Minecraft" lovers will definitely enjoy. Mojang also said that the interactive storytellers at Telltale are giving players the chance to explore their own unique interpretation of the Minecraft universe. They've crafted a story that follows the logic of Minecraft but still manages to "feel original."

"Minecraft: Story Mode" was first announced back in July during Minecon 2015 in London. However, the said release date on the Amazon listing has yet to be confirmed by the developers.
