Tech giant Apple is expected to showcase its new iPhone, Apple TV and iPad during its annual media event slated on Sept. 9. A new rumor has surfaced on Tuesday saying that the Cupertino-based company will launch a new 12.9-inch tablet which will be called the "iPad Pro."
It was reported previously that Apple's new iPad models will be launched separately sometime in October. However, a followup report indicates that iPad Pro will be making a debut at the Bill Graham Auditorium, the company's venue for its "Hey Siri, give us a hint" Fall event, a report from Tech Times said.
"12.9-inch iPad Pro will sport a Force Touch based screen, coupled with a stylus which apparently will 'not look like a traditional' stylus. Building on the new pressure levels that iPad's display will be able to recognize thanks to the Force Touch technology, enhanced drawing and designing tools will open up for the new tablet," WCCF Tech reported.
Apple's rumored iPad Pro will reportedly have a 2,732 x 2,048 pixels resolution. It was said that Apple's new tablet has design aspects borrowed from the iPad Air, and it will likely have a very thin bezel.
Various online reports describe the upcoming iPad Pro as something that "literally looks like a big iPad." Aside from these specs, other expected features in the upcoming tablet are the Facetime and iSight camera, and the Force Touch Display technology.
"It is still unclear if Apple will indeed unveil the iPad Pro at its September 9 event next week or not. Multiple reports have claimed that the tablet will not be shipped in September, though it will be unveiled at Apple's September 9 event itself. The tablet will likely ship in November with iOS 9.1 pre-installed. Reports also claim that Apple is working on a Bluetooth keyboard for the tablet, though other details about it are not known as of now," iPhone Hacks said.
