Amy Duggar and Dillon King just got married! After the fun festivities and the not-so traditional wedding that they had, Amy and Dillon are now ready to face married life head on. What's on top of Amy's to-do list now that she's a wife? Finally dropping the "Duggar" from her name.
Being a Duggar has reportedly been a burden the past few months, thanks to Josh Duggar's never-ending cheating and molestation scandals. Amy told Entertainment Tonight that it has been "a relief" to finally break free from the Duggars' religion and traditions. She shared that "it feels like the stress is gone. I don't have to be perfect anymore. I don't have to worry about wearing long skirts. And I got to marry my best friend!"
Although she's just a cousin to the Duggars, she still pretty much feels the stress of having the last name. She is now happy and proud to call herself Amy King. She has been a beacon of support to Josh's wife Anna at this time of peril. Daily Mail reports that Amy has been considered to be the "black sheep" of the clan, but it sure is not the case now.
Amy has always been vocal that she's not a fan of the Duggars' hypertraditionalist view on things, but it's great to know that she's finally living her ideal life now. With her wedding dress, to having a DJ during the reception, Amy and Dillon truly defied whatever beliefs they previously had.
Amy and Dillon King got married last Sunday in Bentonville, Arkansas. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's family attended the simple and short wedding ceremony. Josh Duggar's daughter also took part in the wedding as a lovely flower girl.
Josh Duggar is in rehab now for his sex and pornography addiction. The rest of the Duggars remain mum about their disgraced eldest son.
