'Chicago Fire' Season 4 Premiere Date & Spoilers: Newcomer Steven R. McQueen Gets Involved In a Love Triangle

"The Vampire Diaries" alum Steven R. McQueen will be heating up Firehouse 51 as it was reported that his character will be involved in a love triangle. Entertainment Weekly reported that McQueen's character, Jimmy Borelli, who is a newcomer to the team, will be capturing the hearts of some of the girls in the crew.

According to the report, both Brett (Kara Killmer) and Chili (Dora Madison) will seem to have an interest in the new guy. Executive producer Matt Olmstead revealed that these are the three most available characters in the show.

Although Brett had a relationship with Cruz (Joe Minoso) last year and even hooked up with Roman (Brian Geraghty) in the finale, Olmstead said that she is still very single. According to Cartermatt, Olmstead said that the hook-up meant nothing, and a possible relationship between the two may not happen in the future.

Olmstead added that there will be rivalry between Brett and Chili for Borelli's affection. However, considering that they are friends, he revealed that one of them would submit to the other and Borelli will end up with either of the two.

Meanwhile, another couple will face a new challenge as it was earlier reported that Dawson (Monica Raymund) is pregnant with Casey's (Jesse Spencer) child. According to Christian Today, Olmstead revealed that despite the new situation, the two might still not end up together. He explained that Casey might feel forced to be in the relationship because of the child and Dawson wants Casey to realize his responsibilities on his own.

It was earlier reported that Casey was kidnapped but he will find a way to escape his captors. He will reportedly deal with the trauma of this event and will have a hard time getting over it.

"Chicago Fire" will return on October 13 on NBC.
