‘Maroon 5’ Concert Canceled in South Korea Due to Vocalist Adam Levine ‘Neck Problems’

"Maroon 5" cancels concert just two hours before concert in Daegu, South Korea. The said postponement of the concert was due to "The Voice" coach and frontman of the band Adam Levine rumored to suffer neck problems from a car accident. Local organizers of Live Nation Korea also said that it is due to the vocalist's "health problems." Levine also posted a photo of himself on instagram with a neck brace looking very sad. The band is said to have two performances in Seoul that would take off this Monday and Thursday.

Levine posted a black and white picture of himself on instagram last Sept. 6 with a neck brace captioning, "Hey guys. sorry we had to reschedule... I posted this photo of sad neck brace Adam purely for your sympathy. See you Thursday! #Maroon5 #Vtour2015." But according to Hollywood Life, the organizers of the event confirmed that Levine didn't suffer from a car accident issue but the brace was due to "neck muscle issues."

According to Billboard, the local organizers of Live Nation Korea also made a statement for the postponement: "The artists and staff tried very hard to prepare for [the concert this past Saturday] until the day before on Friday, but it seemed problematic to proceed with the show given vocalist Adam Levine's neck muscle issues. (A/N: In the Korean language, the same word is generally used to describe both "neck" and "throat." A rep could not be reached to confirm if Levine's health concern was instead connected to throat issues)."

The tickets sold for the Saturday concert will be refunded and Maroon 5 posted a message on this via Twitter,"We are very sorry to postpone tonight's show in Daegu until THURSDAY 10 SEPTEMBER. All tickets will be honored."

The said concert of "Maroon 5" is part of the world tour leg for the band's latest fifth album V. After the tour in South Korea, the band will head on to Taiwan, Australia, and New Zealand.
