Jennifer Lopez is taking things seriously when it comes to her wardrobe. It is said that she has a high-tech internal barcode system to avoid wearing the same outfit twice. The data system reportedly tracks her huge collection of dresses, accessories and shoes.
The "Maid in Manhattan" actress, 46, reportedly takes pride in what she wears and she's against the idea of wearing the same clothes in an event. To make sure she doesn't commit mistakes, she had her huge closet barcoded with the item description, color, size and photo, according to New York Daily News.
"She had her feet up at a meeting, and someone noticed that she had a bar code on her shoe and asked her if she borrowed them," said an insider. "Jennifer laughed and said no, that she has her own internal bar code system on all of her closets to digitally keep track of what she wore and when she wore it, so that she isn't caught wearing the same thing twice."
According to Daily Mail, Lopez' database covers her Los Angeles and New York homes. She also has a copy of paparazzi pictures with her wearing the items. From t-shirts, jeans to gowns, all are barcoded, which reportedly go through a scanning system.
It is said that when J.Lo is seen wearing the same outfit, it's her choice and is intentional. It is believed that the 46-year-old has her own full-time employee in-charge of managing her wardrobe.
In an interview with Paper magazine, where she appears on the cover for its September issue alongside designer Olivier Rousteing, the singer explained what luxury fashion is for her.
"To me, it's stuff that's very custom or made for you or fitted - that's how I like all my clothes to feel," she explained. "And when I think of luxury, whether it's a house or a car or any luxury item, it's like something special about it that feels like you."
