Just days before the unveiling of the most awaited iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, the internet is once again filled with speculations about next year's iPhone 7. Though iPhone 6S and 6S Plus has not formally been gazed by the publics' eyes, techsavvy and experts alike are already gunning for the iPhone model next to iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.
According to appleinsider, Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst from KGI Securities, shared to some investors the details of next year's so-called iPhone 7. According to the source of Kuo, Apple is planning to make iPhone 7 as thin as possible, between 6.0 and 6.5 millimeters. If indeed true, then iPhone 7 would be almost similar with Apple's current iPod touch and iPad Air 2, both of which are just 6.1 millimeters thin.
Kuo also mentioned that the next generation of iPhone would likely embody the Force Touch technology which is said to be already present on the latest iPhone upgrade, the iPhone 6S. With this technology, succeeding iPhones are expected to include "pressure sensitive input on its display via flexible printed circuit board technology." Kuo also believes that next versions of iPhones would include glass on glass solution in order to emphasized the Force Touch sensing and anticipate probable higher resolution of iPhone displays. However, such idea would still remain an idea for couple of years, for glass on glass solution would not allow Apple to achieve a millimeter-thin iPhone as of the moment.
"Apple and its suppliers have invested heavily in iPhone Force Touch in 2015 and we believe 2016 new models will stick with a similar Force Touch structure as used in 2015," Kuo wrote.
As to some specific details of the upcoming iPhone 7, Kuo said less about it. But for some experts, it is to be expected that iPhone 7 would surely be with a new chassis in order to differentiate it from the iPhone 6 series. For historically Apple has redesigned its iPhone every two years, and usually introduce an upgrade coined "S" having identical features and appearance to its predecessor. That is why for most iPhone enthusiasts iPhone 7 is something to look forward to in terms of hardware and software design.
