Season seven winner of "American Idol", David Cook, unloaded his Hollywood Hills home located in the Beachwood Canyon area for around $1.4 million.
Cook purchased the home in 2010 for $1.38 million and seems to have hardly made any profit out of the sale. Cook first listed it in March 2012.
Cook sold the home as he has relocated to another property in Tennessee. The singer sold the home to "the Mentalist" actor, Owain Yeoman, who recently got engaged to jewellery designer girlfriend Gigi Yallouz. The couple announced that they will be marrying in Malibu in June later this year, reports People.
The Los Angeles hillside home is spread across an expanse of 3071 square feet spanning over three stories. Built in 1979, the three bedroom, two and a half bathroom home, sports views of the Griffith Observatory and the famous "Hollywood" sign. The home features a recording studio, a designer dog yard, a gourmet kitchen with a central island and two fireplaces, reports Seattle Times.
After his triumph in the "American Idol", Cook released his much popular albums" This Loud Morning" and "Davis Cook". Cook signed a contract with shoe manufacturer, Sketchers that ran throughout the fall of 2009.
He dated American Idol correspondent, Kimberley Caldwell, for a few months post the season finale. They ended their relationship later in 2008. In 2009, Cook lost his brother to brain cancer.
His "Loud Tour" in 2011 was a raging hit. Recently, Cook grabbed headlines after he declared that his contract with RCA records had come to an end. He announced that he was currently without any recording deal and will be releasing his next song on his own, reports Hollywood Reporter.
