'Nexus 5 2015' Release Date, Price, Specs, and News: Leak Features May Include Finger Scanner and Dual-LED Flash

The wait is over for "Nexus 5." Leaks of the anticipated gadget and rumored features are now revealed. Many are anticipating the latest news on this gadget and finally, the updated news on unraveling the "Nexus 5 (2015)" craze is here. Android Pit reports the details of some image leak they found of the new device, one of which that they note is a new "circular finger scanner" and another is a "dual- LED flash." The "LG Nexus 5" will be launch this Sept. 29 in San Francisco and International Business Times reports that pre-order for the device will only start on Oct. 13.

Last year, it was noted that "Nexus 6" almost had the feature of a fingerprint scanner but to some extent Motorola had a hard time getting a supplier for it. Another leaked image was caught by Android Pit and this time the image is revealing the sides of the "Nexus 5." From their article, it says that the power and volume buttons are aligned on the same side and that buttons according to them "might have a little bit of a chamfered edge" and no clarifications and conclusions yet was given if the handset was ceramic or metal. The article also says that "Nexus 5" is thinner than "Nexus 5X."

Also according to Android Pit, the new "Nexus 5 (2015)" is presumably priced less than US$400. This costs less than the new phone that Huawei will be releasing. Aside from this, the shipping for this device may take consumers to wait for one to three weeks.

Reportedly, the new "Nexus 5" mobile will run on Google's latest Android 6.0 which is Marshmallow. Other features and specs of the handset reported by Android Pit are "its laser auto-focus module, 5.2 inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 808 CPU, 3 GB of RAM, 2,700 mAh battery, and USB Type-C."
