Chris Brown's house was the target Monday of an apparent "swatting" incident, in which police responded in force to a distress call that turned out to be fake, similar to what happened at the Kardashian-Jenner household over the weekend.
Swatting" is a new prank which entails reporting a fake crime or emergency at someone's home, resulting in the SWAT team showing up.
According to the Los Angeles Times, a caller contacted police to report the domestic situation and said Brown's mother may have been shot.
Officers arrived at the scene and found only members of Chris' staff in the home. Police searched the premises, and the singer's parents arrived hours later. Brown's parents arrived after police officers had searched the home, according to L.A. Now.
This is the latest in a string of swatting incidents involving celebs, the most recent being last Friday when someone falsely reported a man with a gun in the home of Kris and Bruce Jenner.
Other recent victims are Tom Cruise, Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus. According to E! News, a juvenile arrested last month is believed to have masterminded several of the hoaxes.
