‘Pikmin 4’ To Release Soon, ‘Super Mario Galaxy 3’ Not Coming to Wii

"Pikmin 4" development is running at full speed and nearing completion while "Super Mario Galaxy 3" will not be a title for the Wii anytime in the near future.

Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto announced that there is indeed a fourth installment of the garden strategy game "Pikmin 4" coming very soon. The game is currently in development stage but the game designer confirmed that its release is nearing. According to Eurogamer, the last title "Pikmin 3" was launched in 2013 for the Wii but Miyamoto did not elaborate which platform the latest version will be released to. The Nintendo game designer said, "It's actually very close to completion. Pikmin teams are always working on the next one."

In the same report by Eurogamer, Nintendo also confirmed the statement of Miyamoto but declined to give further information about the game. Aside from new games, Nintendo is also working hard to bring its new console, the NX, into the hand of Nintendo fans all over the world. It is under development and the video game icon hopes to launch the platform in 2016.

"Pikmin" is a game where players try to lead a band of tiny creatures to survival on a strange planet. The first game was released three years prior to the launch of the sequel and both games were made for GameCube.

Meanwhile, according to Metro, Miyamoto also cleared the air about a "Super Mario Galaxy 3" release and said they will wait for the new console to be finished first before making a new title. He said there is always the chance to make a Super Mario Galaxy game as long as hardware technology gets better and more advanced. Aside from the NX console, one problem seen by Miyamoto is that the first two Super Mario Galaxies still outsell the 3D Super Mario Galaxy.
