Wayne Gretzky custom designed a six bedroom, eight bath home in Thousand Oaks is now on the market for a cool $ 14.995 million.
The mansion spreads across 6.5 acres within the gated Sherwood Country Club, an exclusive secured community that is home to several people seeking privacy, including Britney Spears.
"The privacy of the property and community is a major draw for celebrity buyers," explained listing agent Joyce Rey of Coldwell Banker Previews International."The location is superb, with the Pacific Coast and famed Malibu only a short 20-minute drive, and only 35 miles from Los Angeles."
The mansion was specially designed for Gretzky, the NHL Hall of Famer, by Richard Landry, who also designed opulent houses for celebrities including Sylvester Stallone and Tom Brady.
According to real estate listings and virtual tours on Youtube, the 10-year-old property houses three guest houses, one of which is a fully equipped gym. The house itself features five bedrooms, a pool, library, a sunken tennis court and pizza oven among other amenities.
Wayne Gretzky originally owned the house in 2002, before selling it. Then former baseball star Lenny Dykstra bought it but had to foreclose, according to NESN.
