David Beckham 2015: The Athlete-Turned-Actor Denies That He Wants to be the Next James Bond

A lot of people were surprised by David Beckham's sudden decision to shift careers. After being a brilliant professional football player, he has recently decided that he's venturing into acting. Is he ready to take on major roles? The athlete-turned-actor just denied that he was considering taking on the role of James Bond.

According to Daily Mail, Beckham's fans were pushing him to replace Daniel Craig. A spokesperson apparently told the source that he has no plans on taking on such a big role, especially that it has only been a few days since his announcement of taking over the silver screen.

Even though the world of acting is definitely foreign to him, he said that he's more than ready to face criticisms and backlash on his first acting gig in "Knights of the Round Table." He will be working alongside director Guy Ritchie, who has mentioned that Beckham does have potential to be a good actor.

Now that Beckham's already an actor, Sunday World reports that he's been getting acting tips from Tom Cruise. The athlete has reportedly been going to the "Mission Impossible" star for tips for quite some time now, so does this mean that Beckham has always wanted to be a thespian? The same report also shares that Beckham was reluctant to get lessons at first, but now he's more than comfortable in getting into character.

However, David is not the first Beckham to venture into acting. His son, Brooklyn, is currently signed with an agent in Hollywood for modeling and acting gigs. Daily Mirror also reported last month that he's living it up in Los Angeles, and that he has already visited his dad on set for his new movie. Looks like the Beckhams are starting their little acting dynasty!
