Katy Perry was seen falling off a Segway when she attended the Burning Man festival over the weekend. And her father couldn't help but say something, Mirror reported.
On her Instagram, the pop star posted a video of herself trying to ride a motorized scooter in the festival. However, she couldn't seem to control the vehicle and fell off it. Not in a hurtful way, fortunately. The singer captioned the post, "obvious first time burner alert."
Her dad, Keith Hudson, teased the "Roar" singer by teaching her how to do it in a clip showing the 68-year-old man perfectly spinning around on his own Segway. He did it well even on one hand. Keith said, "Hey bird, you need a lesson 'cause this is the way you do it." Katy posted the video as well on her Instagram with a caption: "thanks dad."
Katy's father has previously said that he is "always a proud father." Except perhaps when he attended his daughter's concert in 2013, when the Christian minister saw how fans are "worshipping" her. Keith said, "It almost looked like church. I stood there and wept and kept on weeping and weeping. They're loving and worshipping the wrong thing."
The Burning Man Festival is an annual summer event that takes place in at Black Rock City, in Nevada. The place is a temporary town specially set up for the event, according to Metro. Winds whipping up sand at the speed of 30 to 50 miles per hour made the music festival extra intense this year, said Vulture. The festival wrapped up last Sunday.
Other celebrities who braved the dry atmosphere and inclement weather at the Burning Man 2015 music festival include Suki Waterhouse, who is reportedly not dating Bradley Cooper anymore. Susan Sarandon was also there and brought the ashes of her late friend Timothy Leary, an advocate of LSD drug. The actress said, "I think he would have loved the chaos [of Burning Man]. He would have loved it and all these people honoring him with LSD."
