DC's 'Legends of Tomorrow' Cast & Release Date: New Villains Are Coming; Is Captain Cold The New Leader?

In the last table read of The CW's upcoming show, DC's "Legends of Tomorrow," Wentworth Miller talked about the possibility of his character Captain Cold becoming the leader of the group.

According to Fashion & Style, Miller said that Captain Cold used to be the leader among the group of rogues. However, this won't be the case as the show will air sometime next year.

Miller explained that the group won't get along that easily. He said that the group will come together to fight an evil villain, and as they try to work together, there will also be a lot of tension. Brandon Routh also agreed in the same interview, saying that his character Ray won't be so thrilled about working with some villains in the beginning of the show. However, he will reportedly try his best to blend in and work as a mediator whenever some of the members have arguments.

Meanwhile, three new villains were reportedly added for the debut season of the show. According to Franchise Herald, aside from Casper Crump's Vandal Sage, the Hath-Set, Shadow Thief and the Spider will be terrorizing the group. As of writing, there is still no news as to who will be playing these roles.

According to the report, Hath-Set and Shadow Thief are both known to be main villains to Hawkman and Hawkgirl. The character Shadow Thief was reported to first appear in the comics titled "The Brave and the Bold #36." In the comic book, it was said that the character has the ability to shift his body into a two-dimensional object and draws strength from the shadows, which makes him invisible.

On the other hand, Harth Set made its debut in the Flash comics back in 1940 and was described to have the ability to reincarnate and possess his descendants.

As of writing, there is still no official premiere date for the show yet, but it was reported that production of "Legends of Tomorrow" is currently ongoing. Fans can expect it to air sometime next year.
