More new characters will be appearing in "Orange is the New Black" as the show returns for Season 4 next year. According to Vine Report, two of the new cast members include Shannon Esper and Jolene Purdy.
Esper will play the character of Alana Dwight, who is described as someone who is so humble that she is impossible to hate. Meanwhile, Purdy's character is still unnamed. Both new members were cast in a recurring role. Kelly Karbacz was also reported to be joining the cast; however, her role in the show was not yet revealed.
It was earlier reported that the show will be adding more male characters. Latin Post reported that Brad William Henke and Mike Houston will be appearing in Season 4. As of writing, their roles in the show has yet to be disclosed, but it was speculated that both of the men will be playing as a jail guard and one of the workers in the management in Litchfield prison.
In the Season 3 finale, Alex Vause (Laura Prepon) was shown facing off an assassin and is about to get shot. Some of the fans are reportedly wondering if she will be killed or not. Prepon recently posted an Instagram photo of her as her character in the show, which means that Alex will still appear in Season 4.
In a recent interview, Pepron also revealed that her character will be more aggressive in Season 4. She revealed that Alex's paranoia will somehow empower her.
Aside from Alex, another character is said to evolve as Season 4 premieres.
Uzo Aduba, who plays Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren, revealed that her character's personality will be evolving in Season 4. Aduba said, "Because of her inner evolution, it will be interesting to see whether she decides if that is her love or not. Before, she was just taking whatever she could get."
"Orange is the New Black" Season 4 is set to premiere sometime in 2016.
