Ciara and Russell Wilson hit the headlines after he confessed that he and Ciara have committed themselves into a celibate relationship. A week after his revelation, the Shape covergirl broke her silence on being celibate with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.
In an interview with "CBS This Morning," Ciara, 29, opened up about her relationship and why they decided on a "no sex policy" before marriage. Wilson, 26, claimed their celibacy is due to religious reasons. This time, the "Blood Party" singer said that apart from their beliefs, the decision was driven by their wish to get to know and love each other based on solid foundation, according to CBS News.
"It's [celibacy] awesome. I think the cool thing is just being able to share our journey with some other people like us," the 29-year-old singer told the CBS anchor, Gayle King. "It's a great challenge. I can definitely say that. But it's awesome because we get to really challenge ourselves, get to know each other and really build a foundation."
Ciara also talked about her reaction to the rumors that her ex-partner Future was not happy with her introducing their son to Wilson. The Grammy Award winner said that she feels that it's some kind of double standard because at one point in time when they were together, she took care of his kids as well at a very young time in their relationship. The rapper has four kids from previous relationships.
Meanwhile, the "Goodies" singer has been busy lately in promoting her sultry new music video, "Dance Like We're Making Love." During her appearance in "Sway in the Morning," the singer was teased if her video was her way of giving her beau an idea on what "it's" going to be like. Ciara coyly replied that they are still saving the date for that and that they are hanging in there, New York Post reports.
