Netflix 'Daredevil' Season 2 Cast & Release Date: 'The Butler' Star Cast As Blake Tower; Matt Murdock Gets A New Love Interest

Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) will receive a helping hand as Stephen Rider was cast as Blake Tower.

According to Christian Today, Blake Tower is a strict district attorney who is known to be a trusted friend of Matt Murdock. It was reported that Blake Tower will be helping Matt bring down his enemies as "Daredevil" comes back for Season 2.

Rider will be joining the new cast which includes "The Walking Dead" alum Jon Bernthal, who will play Frank Castle/The Punisher, and "G.I. Joe" star Elodie Young, who will play as Elektra.

In his Twitter account, Bernthal teased the fans of the different arms The Punisher might be using in the upcoming season of the show. The photo shows high-powered guns that his character will reportedly use to fight the villains in Hell's Kitchen.

There will also be returning characters in Season 2, which include Deborah Ann Woll, who plays Karen Page, and Elden Henson, who plays Foggy Nelson. It was also reported earlier that Rosario Dawson will be returning to reprise her role as Claire Temple.

As of writing, the show is currently in production and it is scheduled to be released during the early part of 2016. According to Movie Pilot, it seems like the superhero will be having deeper relationships in Season 2. Will he finally have some love life in the new season?

The site reported that a photo captured on the set of the show reveals Matt Murdock and Karen Page holding hands while walking in the night. This is contrary to the Season 1 finale where Karen Page was seen being cozy with Foggy Nelson, who is the partner and best friend of Matt. Despite that, there are still a lot of speculations that Karen Page and Matt will still end up together in the show.

It is expected that "Daredevil" Season 2 will be available in Netflix sometime in 2016.
