Liars everywhere are already looking forward to the major changes that will be happening as "Pretty Little Liars" season 6B returns, but aside frommore shocking twists in the story, the show is also getting a new intro as revealed by Marlene King, Hollywood Life has the deets.
As what we all know, the current "PLL" intro - introduced in 2010 during season 1 - features the four main girls standing behind Alison's casket as The Pierces' "Secret" plays in the background. After a series of stolen glances between the girls, the camera zooms in on Aria, whose subsequent "sshh" face has become somewhat iconic in fans' minds.
Now, after "Pretty Little Liars" five and a half seasons, fans will possibly no longer see Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Aria (Lucy Hale), Hannah (Ashley Benson), and Emily (Shay Mitchell) stand over Alison's (Sasha Pieterse) dead body, and she might even be sitting up in the intro this time.
The reveal was dropped while King was chatting with dedicated "PLL" fans on Twitter. She shared that we will see our favorite Liars in an all-new opening when "PLL" season 6B premieres in January 2016. The tweet did not discuss about any other changes, but now that Alison is alive and well, should fans expect Sasha Pieterse to join the rest of the Liars in the new intro?
King didn't reveal the answer to why Aria is the only one going "shhh" in the credits, but it's exciting to know that everyone is going to get their chance to keep a secret this time around. What we can assume that means: Alison will make a (lively) appearance, and maybe the boys - ahem, Ezra, Toby, Caleb - will get a piece of the action, too. After all, they became a huge part of the group in the seasons leading up to A's big reveal!
How about "Pretty Little Liars" theme song? We are one with the fans in feeling that they can't imagine not hearing Secret as the show intros.
