When Microsoft has announced the Xbox One's backwards compatibility during this year's E3 event, it generated heavy speculations as to which games will be included in the roster. Although Ubisoft has released a confirmed list of games, fans are still hoping that most of Tom Clancy's games will be included in the program.
A new development has surfaced on Wednesday, saying that the company has teased the fans anew after a poster was revealed by the company. The poster shows new game titles, a report from iDigital Times said.
"The photo was shared on the Ubisoft Mexico timeline, along with the (translated) caption 'What game on Xbox 360 of Ubisoft would you like to be compatible with the Xbox One?' Many obvious choices are included in the photo like the 'Assassin's Creed' series, both 'Far Cry 2' and 3, and the rebooted 'Prince of Persia,'" the report said.
The photo reveals that majority of the game titles that are rumored to-be included in the Xbox Backwards Compatibility Program are in fact Tom Clancy games. In particular, there are two "Ghost Recon" games, one "Rainbow Six" game, and three "Splinter" Cell games, "Hawx" and "EndWar."
The other games are "Call of Juarez," "Driver San Francisco," and "Rayman Origins."
However, it was stressed that there's no guarantee if these game titles will indeed be part of the program unless Ubisoft issues an official statement regarding the matter.
Meanwhile, VG247 reports that Ubisoft is planning to give free copies of Xbox 360 games with pre-orders of Xbox One games. "Today, the publisher is asking fans to vote on the games they'd like to see brought over. The publisher's Mexican Facebook page didn't provide a voting form fans can use, but did show a number of some of everyone's favorite Ubisoft games from the previous generation."
Microsoft said that the video games supported for Xbox 360 will only run within a software emulator. A software emulator will be implemented using both Xbox 360's hardware and software. It was said that Xbox One recording and broadcasting features will also be supported, along with Xbox 360 multiplayer, achievements, and cloud save access, Gamepur reports.
