Game developer Nintendo has released on Wednesday a new DLC Wii U bundle for the "Mario Kart 8." The game's bundle comes with perks and extra goodies such as Animal Crosser Characters, new stages and the 200cc difficulty.
Once the game's bundle is available, it will be pre-installed with new contents and will be sold for a retail price of $299.99, a report from iDigital Times said.
"It makes sense for Nintendo to try and get a head start on the holiday shopping season as the company tries to sell as many units as possible before the next console is rolled out and with so many titles coming to the Wii U by the end of 2015 and beginning of 2016, fans who don't own the Wii U already should definitely be getting it," the report said.
VG247 noted that unlike the game's predecessor, the Wii U bundle has a download card for the DLC packs. Although there are two DLC packs, they will reportedly be sold separately. Each pack will be sold for $8 each or $12 via a DLC package. Players who would like to avail the DLC cards can redeem them via Nintendo eShop.
Nintendo says that both DLC packs will require a minimum storage space of at leas 2.0 GB. Players will have to use an external USB hard drive to download the software, which will be sourced from the company's eShop.
IGN reports that the new DLC pack brings new playable characters such as Isabelle and the Villager through the world of Animal Crossing to Mario Kart. Players will be able also to use the special Animal Crossing racetrack, which features various seasons such as spring, summer, autumn, winter. Each season changes once a player starts a a race.
