The New 'GoPro' Odyssey VR Priced at $15,000, Arriving in November

If you like taking videos especially with sophisticated gadgets and platforms, then the new GoPro product might just be the right fit for you. The known manufacturer of selfie gadgets just recently introduced their amazing 360-degree video capturing camera called GoPro Odyssey.

GoPro Odyssey is not just your ordinary GoPro, for it is the first camera rig ever built specifically for Google's Jump platform. "Jump" is a type of platform, which was first introduced last May at Google I/O that allows anyone to create 360-degree video capture rigs. The captured video from the use of the rig will then be converted to an immersive 3D content that everyone may enjoyably experience. With this 16-camera rig and a specific accompanying software other image stitching software used for traditionally captured images may soon be obscured by this product especially because of its much higher quality results.

But before you start browsing for some online stores and other selling points of this new GoPro item, it would be wise to note that for most ordinary folks GoPro Odyssey is a budget killer. It can be considered as such because the product's professional status comes with a tag of $15,000. And to make things more complicated, even if you have the finances to purchase one, you would still have to submit an application in order to buy the GoPro Odyssey. And as to some reports, the company only sells the product for "professional content creators and producers."

And if by a sheer luck and fortune you are able to pass the application, then you would have to expect not just a camera rig that comes with the package. For the $15,000 price includes "16 HERO4 Black cameras, 16 array bacpacs, 16 microSD cards, cables/accessories and even a fancy Pelican case to carry the whole thing in. Not to mention its integration with Google's JUMP platform."

If you are convinced that you are a professional when it comes to image capturing and video editing, then this product is the best fit for you. You may simply go to their website and proceed with the application process.
