Sofia Vergara and Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting tops Forbes' list of highest paid TV actresses for the year.
The two actresses are tied for first place, states E!News, wherein Vergara and Cuoco-Sweeting earned $28.5 million in 2015. Vergara has been on the top the list for four years given her role on the hit TV show "Modern Family." Aside from her small screen projects, the actress also landed lucrative endorsement deals with various companies and brands such as "CoverGirl" and "Head and Shoulders." Vergara is also a businesswoman and runs the Latin World Entertainment which she co-founded in 1994. The company is a talent management and entertainment-marketing firm.
Meanwhile, Cuoco-Sweeting landed at number one when she reportedly negotiated a $1 million per episode salary for her "The Big Bang Theory" role, reports Forbes. This helped to push the blond beauty's earnings to $28.5 million.
Other actresses who made it within the top five of the Forbes' list are Julie Brown from "Modern Family" with $12 million, "Grey's Anatomy" star Ellen Pompeo with $11.5 million and Marissa Hargitay from "Law & Order: SVU" with $11 million.
Some of the small screen's rookies and new faces also joined Forbes' list of 15 highest paid TV actresses such as Emily Deschanel who is earned an estimated $6.5 million from her "Bones" role. "NCIS" Pauley Perrette also made the list with $6 million, along with "House of Cards" star Robin Wright who made $5.5 million.
Forbes also included the funny women in television and ranked "Parks and Recreation" actress Amy Poehler at number six with her $10.5 million earnings. The star is also tied at that spot with veteran actress Juliana Margulies from the "Good Wife." Aside from Poehler, Mindy Kaling also made the list with her $9 million earnings from "The Mindy Show," her collection of essays and endorsement deals with American Express and Nationwide.
