Marvel Comics News: 'Invincible Iron Man' Logos Released by Graphic Designer Tom Muller

Marvel Comics hired art director and graphic designer Tom Muller in 2011, to redesign "The Invincible Iron Man" logo, and now the cool collection of rejected logos are out.

On Muller's official website, he said, "The logo had to be based on the existing movie franchise branding and fit within a larger marketing and publicity structure."

In the previous week, these rejected logo designs for "The Invincible Iron Man," made their way on the web, giving fans the franchise a glimpse behind of what goes behind the curtain and branding or a big movie like "Iron Man."

The logos are characterized by Muller on his now non-functioning website as "Redesign concepts... commissioned by Marvel Comics. The logo had to be based on the existing movie franchise branding and fit within a larger marketing and publicity structure."

Fans packed the room to capacity and lined up for hours for the 2015 Expo Event of Marvel, and literally Charles Soule dived into things.

C.B. Cebulski, Vice President of International Business Development & Brand Management, explained at the beginning of the publisher's post-"Secret Wars" themed panel. "If anyone needs a place to sit, we can ask the Batman and Harley Quinn up here to leave," Cebulski further explained with a grin.

"There was that period of Marvel that was very dark and gritty, and everyone was angry at each other, and knew each other's secret identities," Cebulski stated, diving into some comments and hints as to where the Marvel Universe is currently heading. "A lot of clenched teeth and grim faces. The Marvel Universe post-'Secret Wars' will be a very interesting place. There will still be those dark elements in some books, of course. But there will be so much youth and energy in it.The Avengers will have Nova, Ms. Marvel and Miles Morales on them."
