Robert Taylor Net Worth: Celebrity Ranch Returns to Market at Lower Price

Located about 10 miles from Rodeo Drive, the Robert Taylor ranch is considered as the premiere example of rustic luxury living in Mandeville Canyon community in California. According to a recent report from Variety, the property has come back on the selling market for $20 million.

Originally built for petroleum magnate Waite Phillips, the property consisted of a multi-winged main house and a number of structures within the property grounds.

Previously, the property was sold at auction to 'a buyer from Chicago', as reported on Curbed for a cool sum of $12 million. Amongst its amenities were 112 acres of sprawling land in Mandeville Canyon, seven bedrooms, seventeen and a half bathrooms and a ten car garage.

Other amenities for the Robert Byrd designed home built back in the 1950's, include stables, a tennis court and even its casino.

The history of the property includes being the love nest of Robert Taylor during the time he was married to Barbara Stanwyck. After his death in 1970, the property was sold to KROQ founder Ken Roberts for a princely sum then of $900,000.

The property was then listed several times while under the ownership of Roberts, the peak price set was in 2008 for $65 million. The property eventually ended up as part of a payment package under a court ordered debt settlement ending up in a trust fund. In 2012, the property was being sold for $18.9 million. The hedge fund was named New Stream Capital and it had paid off a debt with then developer Fred Latsko.

Robert Taylor was movie actor popular back in the '50s and '60s with movie titles to his credit such as "Society Doctor", "A Wicked Woman" and "Handy Andy". His net worth, as reported on CelebritiesMoney is around $3,000,000.
