Writer, producer and director Tyler Perry has reportedly bid goodbye to his Hollywood Hills bachelor pad in Los Angeles for around $11.25 million. Perry purchased the luxurious place in 2006 for $9.6 million, hence making a profit out of the sale.
The Bird Street residence is the quintessential high-end celebrity property boasting of state-of-the-art fittings and fixtures. The four bedroom, six bathroom place comprises of a gourmet kitchen and a private wine cellar topped by a glass catwalk! Four fireplaces, a modern fitness center along with a sauna and a billiards room are some of its other features, reports Eonline.
An exclusive multipurpose lounge area that can be converted into a nightclub with a glass disco ball is another exotic feature of the house. A swimming pool with a glass bottom and a screening room are some of its other modern amenities, reports Yahoo.
Apart from the amenities, the place also sports beautiful views of Los Angeles City, reports LATimes.
Perry is popular for his creation and portrayal of "Madea", a fictional character that first appeared in his famous play "I Can Do Bad All by Myself". In 2005, Madea made her debut into onsite films with "Diary of a Mad Black Woman" which was also an adaptation of Tyler's play with the same title. Since then, the Madea series have been a raging hit.
He created the television series, "House of Payne" and has worked on several other projects. He credits "The Oprah Winfrey Show" for being the inspiration behind his writing.
He also owns a play company that tours the country catering to Afro-American issues.
Perry recently grabbed headlines as news of his project involving Kim Kardashian broke out. The movie, "Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor" will see Kardashian in a small cameo role or maybe even more.
