"5 Seconds of Summer" may be one of the hottest and popular Aussie pop punk bands nowadays but can you believe that one of the members is having a hard time finding a "girl"? Michael Clifford who plays the guitar and backup vocals for the group confessed that he was unlucky in finding a "girl" to date.
According to the article of Design & Trend, Clifford revealed from the group's interview on Seventeen Magazine that he was having a hard time getting dates and that the guitarist even confessed about trying to find "the one."
And he totally is open to the idea of dating a fan he sincerely likes. Clifford opened to Unreality TV that "Fans are the same thing as a normal person, but they just like your band. It's like a bonus!"
Apart from this, Clifford who is also famous in donning different hairstyles shared his past school experiences with girls. The 19-year-old bassist revealed that some the girls he liked from the past has crushes on his bandmates Luke Hemmings and Calum Hood.
Clifford said, "I guess I'm a little girl crazy. Back in school, girls I liked actually liked Calum or Luke." And that sadly, that didn't change even after they finished high school. He also claimed that he was "friend-zoned."
"I didn't let that make me jaded, but it's been a struggle to get girls to like me. I've learned not to focus on little crushes. Even now, I still get friend-zoned!" said Calum."
Meanwhile aside from Clifford's struggle with girls, Luke Hemmings, the main vocalist of "5 Seconds of Summer", reveals that he and the "Wildest Dreams" singer Taylor Swift have a "secret connection." Hemmings said that when it comes to writing songs, he is inspired to write stories about his heartache and breakup just like Taylor.
The "5SOS" main vocalist said in the interview from Seventeen that "I think we try and write about our personal experiences." and that nothing beats one's personal experience to have a genuine sound.
Hemmings also said, "The only way to be original in your songwriting is to write about your own experiences, and I think that's what we try to do as a band."
