There have been numerous leaks and rumors on the web regarding the upcoming Nexus smartphones. The latest of which is a new report that has surfaced on Thursday, claiming that both Google LG Nexus 5X smartphone and Huawei's Nexus 6 phablet will be available for pre-orders starting from Oct. 13, exactly two weeks after its rumored Sept. 29 launch date, Gadgets NDTV said.
"Google will be releasing two Nexus devices this year that will be manufactured by LG and Huawei. LG has already produced the Android Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 smartphone for Google and the Nexus 2015 will be the third for the South Korean company. On the other hand, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei has never produced an Android Nexus device before and the Nexus 6 phablet will be its first one ever to be built for Google," Design & Trend.
It can be recalled that specific details of Nexus devices' features, prices, and specs have been heavily reported through various leaks and rumors over the past months. For instance, LG's Nexus 5 is reported to feature a 5.2-inch QHD display with a resolution of 1440x 2560 pixels. Expected inside the handset is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 808 processor with a hexacore 1.8GHz CPU as well as Adreno 418 GPU with 3 GB of RAM.
The LG-built Nexus 5 will sport a 13 MP rear camera and will feature an optical image stabilization. The handset is rumored to be pre-installed with Google Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
However, Talk Android reports that compared to LG-built Nexus 5 smartphones, Huawei-made Nexus smartphones will have better features and larger specifications.
In terms of price, it was said that LG-made smartphones will be sold at a very affordable price. The LG Nexus is estimated at $400 for a 16 GB storage base model and $450 for the 32 GB variant. Meanwhile, pricing details of Huawei Nexus 6 has not yet been announced by the company.
Google is set to unveil both Nexus devices in the upcoming event in San Francisco on September 29.
