It was reported that one of the most intense parts of the teaser video is the confrontation between Peter and Eli (Alan Cumming).

According to International Business Times, series co-creator Robert King revealed in an interview that Peter will do everything he can, including pretending to have a happy family, in order to win the public's votes. King explains that Peter will be using this as leverage in his campaign despite it being different from the real scenario. According to the official synopsis for Season 7, Alicia will be starting her own law firm again with the help of new cast member Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who will play the calm and experienced investigator, Jason Crouse.
