Ahead of the Season 9 premiere of "The Big Bang Theory," Steve Molaro revealed some of the moments from the big wedding of the season. In their exclusive interview with the Hollywood Reporter, the creators answered some of the questions about the wedding of Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting).
According to Molaro, he had a long talk with co-creator Chuck Lorre about revealing some of the scenes from Leonard and Penny's wedding before the Season 9 premiere. He said that he fears that by revealing the photos, fans would think that the wedding will not happen in the show.
Molaro revealed the events that will be happening after Leonard and Penny's wedding. Molaro said that Penny is still quite affected about the fact that Leonard he kissed his friend Mandy (Melissa Tang) when he was still working in the North Sea.
However, she still decides to marry Leonard despite the revelation. Molaro also revealed that although it could be a struggle at first, Leonard and Penny are both investing in the marriage and things will eventually start to get better.
Molaro expressed his excitement for the fans to see the wedding ceremony and how Johnny and Kaley delivered their wedding vows. He said that both actors "killed it" and it was truly a magical moment that fans should look forward to in Season 9.
According to Cinema Blend, Leonard and Penny's story will continue after the wedding and this will also obviously have an impact on their friends' lives, especially to Sheldon (Jim Parsons). Molaro said that Sheldon will definitely have his heart broken once he finds out about the wedding, but Penny and Leonard will figure out some living arrangements with Sheldon for the relationship to work.
"The Big Bang Theory" Season 9 will premiere on CBS on September 21.
