"Teen Wolf" star Dylan O'Brien recently revealed how the MTV series was able to help him with his role on "The Maze Runner."
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, O'Brien said that "Teen Wolf" became his acting school, and the series reportedly helped him so much for his role as Thomas on "The Maze Runner."
"It literally became my acting school, where I went every day for six months every year," he said.
Meanwhile, the actor also talked about the upcoming third sequel to James Dashner's trilogy, "The Scorch Trials." O'Brien also dished on the conversation he had with film director Wes Ball.
"I asked him how much running I had ahead of me. Even though I knew that the movie could take a different direction, I just love running," he said.
In other news, Ball also spoke with the same publication about "The Scorch Trials" and said, "Thomas is more mature and a little unsure of himself. I think Dylan really ate it up."
During a separate interview with MTV News, O'Brien said, "I didn't think it would be more running, but it is, funny enough. It's running everywhere; it's running away from things, up sand dunes."
As of late, O'Brien has already filmed at least 80 episodes of "Teen Wolf," which premiered on MTV in 2011. Following Dashner's trilogy, O'Brien will star in the upcoming project, "Deepwater Horizon."
Talking about his experiences in acting, O'Brien said that he used to be very shy, so he didn't know that he will actually become an actor. "I was very shy. I would take piano lessons, but would never perform in the recitals," he said.
"The Maze Runner: Scorch Trials" is slated to hit theaters in the United States this month. The film also stars Kaya Scodelario, Ki Hong Lee, Thomas Brodie Sangster, Rosa Salazar and more.
