Manchester United vs. Liverpool 2015: Revival of Old Rivalry or Clash of Fallen Powerhouses

Manchester United vs Liverpool has been the most exciting match to watch in the past and still is the best and biggest rivalry for red Scousers and Mancs.

Marc Ogden of the Telegraph said that the United and Liverpool rivalry is the biggest game in the Premier League but it is no longer the stage for the Premier League's leading players.

On Saturday, the two teams will meet once again in the field to completely dominate their rivals and prove once again that they are the ones who will reclaim their former glory.

The pressure is on both teams' manager Brendan Rodgers and Louis van Gaal. They have to walk their talk.

The two 'sleeping' giants have made their fair share of misdeals, and financial instability and mishaps.

According to Mirror, after a few windows when Europe's finest have snubbed Liverpool, they have downgraded their targets. Which is why the £29million capture of Roberto Firmino was dressed up as major coup, despite no-one else making a bid.

Ever since Sir Alex Ferguson left, United have the feeling of being back in the post-Busby era, scrambling around, trying to find a successor and throwing big money at players just to remind everyone of their might.

IBN Times prediction of the game is 1-0 favoring Manchester United,

"Both teams will know that they can ill afford to suffer a defeat and it could make for a cagey encounter. Liverpool could well approach the match in similar fashion to their most impressive performance so far this season, when they sat back and countered Arsenal to good effect at the Emirates Stadium. But, under Van Gaal, United are far more cautious going forward than Arsenal, which should limit Liverpool's effectiveness on the break. Despite United being far from scintillating going forward, Liverpool's defense is vulnerable and Van Gaal had the better of Rodgers in both matchups last season."
