Almost two decades ago, Nirvana's frontman shot himself which then lead to numerous conspiracies regarding his passing. One theory pointed out that Kurt Cobain's wife, Courtney Love, is the one responsible for his death.
Just last month, around the first week of August, Courtney Love and their daughter Frances Bean made the headlines. It was when the mother-daughter duo pleaded that Kurt's crime scene photos would not be publicly revealed. [CBS]
Courtney Love made a statement in keeping Cobain's photo private stating:
"I have never seen these graphic and disturbing images, nor do I ever want to. I cannot believe that there exists any genuine public interest which might be served by the public release of these images."
She also made another statement regarding the said issue stating:
"I am routinely called a murderer and receive death threats by conspiracy-theory obsessed individuals who believe I was somehow involved in my husband's death, Public release of these images would only exacerbate such activity and further endanger my safety."
Amidst her plea however, Cobain's photos were still exposed. Just last week, Seattle Police Department developed the film that was used to take photos of the crime scene. Kurt Cobain's death scene photos will be used as part of the re-examination of the evidences linked to the rock star's death. Radar Online was able to grab a copy of the photos.
One of which is a photo of Kurt Cobain's arm, which reveals a bracelet that he was still wearing from an LA drug rehab from where he checked out just days before returning to Seattle. A photo of a pack of cigarettes lighter, a hat, wallet and sunglasses that lie on the floor surrounding the singer's paraphernalia box.
Though numerous conspiracies already emerged, the police department however ruled out other options as they still pointed out that suicide was Cobain's cause of death.
