Apple 2015 Event: iPad Pro Specs, Release Date & Features Revealed

Finally, Tech giant Apple has unveiled its latest product lines ranging from iPhones, Apple TV and the much-awaited iPad Pro during the company's September 9 Fall event. The company has unpacked a truckload of major hardware and software updates, specifically in its next-generation iPad model. Tech savvy users and industry experts claim that Apple's iPad Pro "stood out" in terms of features and usability, a report from iDigital Times said on Friday.

According to the report, the new tablet features new accessories such as an Apple Pencil and a Keyboard Combo. Having such new accessories will not only make the device's usability more convenient to Apple users, but these can be seriously considered a "bait" that will force gadget fanatics to cash out and grab the latest tablet. It was said that iPad Pro shares the same basic design features from both iPad Mini and iPad Air, specifically the metal edge, the volume buttons that have no mute switch, a Home Button with Touch ID and more.

Other features of the newly revealed iPad Pro include upgraded processor specs, which include the latest A9 chip, four speakers with a powerful volume, a Smart Keyboard With Smart Connectors, an Apple Pencil which is a new stylus-type device made to bring extended features to the iPad Pro Apple, its own personalize Touch ID scanner and more. Apple says that the iPad Pro release date is slated in November this year and it will be available in three colors: silver, gold and space grey.

"The 12.9-inch 2732×2048 display is the tablet's raison d'etre, and iOS does a few things to adapt to such a large screen (the Pros we saw were running a beta build of iOS 9.1, which will presumably be released when the iPad Pro comes out. The software keyboard expands and assumes a layout reminiscent of the standard Mac keyboard, and iOS 9's Split View feature has more room to work than it does on the iPad Air 2-it should be able to display two full-sized iPad apps next to each other without having to switch to 'compact' views, if that's what the user wants. A bigger screen also feels like a natural fit for the picture-in-picture mode, which can make things feel just a bit claustrophobic on the smaller iPads," Arstechnica noted.

The iPad Pro is available at $799 for the 32GB model. The 128GB version (Wi-Fi Only) is priced at $949, while the Cellular LTE 128 GB version is $1079, iDigital Times reported.
