Ashley Hicks, 52 and his wife Kata de Sollis created a buzz on their wedding. The son of late designer David Hicks and his fashionista wife married each other and the ceremony was dubbed as "society's first Instagram wedding." The couple met on Instagram just 4 months before tying the knot.
As per the Daily Mail, the couple got engaged just a month after meeting on the photo sharing website last May. The second cousin of Prince Charles and the American Fashionista celebrated their wedding at Hicks' Oxford home.
As per the website the couple was introduced online by illustrator Donald Robertson, who was their best man. During his speech, Robertson thanked the website stating: 'We would like to thank Instagram for what we believe is the first super posh hook-up,'
Stylist website then stated that the bride wore bunny ears during the ceremony and the groom wore a chicken head. During his proposal, Hicks popped the question by presenting de Sollis [ who is now his wife] a gold ruby ring shaped like a snakes head. The ring was created by the designer Solange Azagury-Partridge.
Numerous celebrities attended the nuptial. The guest list included "Game of Thrones" star Gwendoline Christie and the famous shoe designer Christian Louboutin.
Hicks' daughters from his former wife who is a the designer, Allegra, 54. Angelica and Ambrosia, his mother, Lady Pamela Hicks, and his sister India who was a bridesmaid at Lady Diana's wedding to Prince Charles back in 1981.
Whiteboards were scattered all over the area, which was a tribute to the Instagram accounts and hashtags that helped then connect to Instagram.
One of the wedding's highlight is when Hick's daughter angelica, pushed her new stepmother's face into the cake.
