Michael Fassbender has been rumored to be included in the latest adaptation of Jo Nesbo's delinquency novel "The Snowman" for Working Title and Universal. "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" helmer Tomas Alfredson is the one who will directing the upcoming film. The movie will be produced with the collaborative efforts of Working Title Films and Alfredson's Another Park Film.
Working Title's Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner are among the producers along with PiodorGustafsson. The script will be written by SorenSveistrup as stated in a report by Variety.
The film spins around Harry Hole, who is a detective that has been featured in 10 Nesbo's work of fiction. Labelled as a slack cannon in the Oslo police force, the story has Hole exploring the life of a woman that vanished and whose pink scarf is found wrapped around a particular snowman as stated in a report by the Hollywood Reporter.
When Working Title initially chose the book, the impression was to produce a sequence similar to the Alex Cross films which had Morgan Freeman starred and lately Tyler Perry.
Martin Scorsese, the executive producer together with Nesbo and NiclasSalomonsson, who also characterizes Nesbo and Working Title's Liza Chasin and Amelia Granger are among the producers as well.
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy helmer Tomas Alfredson, who is the director of, "Let the Right One In", is closely involved in the direction of the film.
Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner of Working Title will also be a part of the movie. When Working Title first optioned the book years ago, it was planned as a possible crime franchise centered around Harry Hole. Martin Scorsese was attached to direct in 2011.
Fassbender has more upcoming films, comprising of Danny Boyle's Steve Jobs, which premiered at Telluride. Another film is MacBeth, which debuted in Cannes. The Fox's X-Men: Apocalypse for May 2016 and video game adaptation Assassin's Creed are also Fassbender's works. The actor, whose previous films include Shame, 12 Years a Slave, Prometheus and Frank, is noted by CAA and Troika in the U.K.
